About this walk
Freshwater Creek flows as procession of small waterfalls falling into tiered swimming holes surrounded by smooth boulders.
The wide, sealed path follows the creek for just over a kilometre and is on a gentle slope. Crystal Cascades promises a peaceful stroll with an enchanting view. The path is mostly shaded and cool.
Crystal Cascades is the perfect place for a swim, particularly in Summer when marine stingers make swimming in the ocean dangerous. Access to the swimming holes is not suitable for prams or wheelchairs, however the stream is very close to the track in places so you can carry little ones in.
