About this walk
The Balcombe Creek Boardwalk is in Mount Martha on the Mornington Peninsula. This wetland sanctuary is an environmentally and culturally significant estuary system offering habitat and protection to a wide range on wildlife.
The traditional owners, the Boonerwrung, call this estuary Tji’tjin’garook or the ‘voice of frogs’.
The boardwalk is impressive in its length and quality, and offers several opportunities to view the creek and wildlife.
You can continue your walk into The Briars by going under the Nepean Hwy on a walking track.
Stop in Mount Martha for a coffee before returning the same way.
