Kilcunda has some of the most stunning coastal views in Victoria. On a clear day, watch the waves roll in while you walk along the rail trail above the beach. Walk as far as you like before turning back – the compacted sand track is approx 16 km and stretches to Wonthaggi.
Park in the Kilcunda carpark. There are toilets and a playground here too. Head east across the Bourne Creek Trestle Bridge and coastal sand dunes. The trail has a few bridges that cross the Powlett River and its tributaries.
