About this walk

The Barwon River Walk in Geelong is a circuit walk that takes in both sides of the vibrant Barwon River and passes though parklands and reserves.
A great place to start is from the carpark of the Balyang Sanctuary where there is public toilets and picnic facilities.
The walk is fully paved and mostly flat so is suitable for prams and strollers.  The walk can be accessed from several locations along it’s 20 km stretch so why not do the walk in stages?
Small children will love the abundant bird life seen along the walk.
